DannyParticipantyeah apparently green tea is also a great anti-poison – just sipping on it is great throughout the day. funny they use it in china where they have a huge problem with pollution because of the factories that are there.

sultanKeymasterCool, looks like they are finally researching and realising some beenfits of all the lifestyle choices people have made in the far east.

Quie BianParticipantI’ve been drinking green tea for a few years but I’m still as forgetful as ever 🙁
Come to think of it, what organs/meridians are actually associated with brain power and memory? What does weak memory usually mean25th May 2015 at 6:59 pm #173
DannyParticipantusually its related with the body being weak and not the brain as we think in western medicine. so with memory problems you can do more exercise and avoid sugars/fats and carbohydrates for a while (3-6 months). people who are stressed (beyond normal) or gone through a lot of emotional pain also can get memory problems and doing the above can help resolve it.

ZKeymasterI agree with Danny – western medicine thinks memory problems is related with the brain, but we also store memory in the body and in Daoist acupuncture, memory problems are related with the body and what Danny described is one way of treating it.

EricKimParticipant@Sultan Just for the record In the west they also drink tea from the same plant.
But I get your point. The west has lost most of its esoteric secret wisdom and mysticism. But it was all there, at some point.
Yea they drink the same tea, just blackened first. The world’s most healthiest beverage.

Gabrielle1980Participant@EricKim I did not know that, you mean its the same tea? and its called green tea? or what?
What type of green tea is best tho? like those loose ones or are tea bags okay? and what country origin? china, korea or any is fine?

HenryParticipantAny type of green tea is good, usually the price says it all. If you buy very cheap priced ones, they are not likely the best quality. I get the korean or chinese ones, but I don’t think it will matter.

EricKimParticipant@Gabrielle
Loose leaf with the least amount of processing would be best.
The tea has to be picked in spring when the buds are still small, that is the most powerful.
China had some great old tea feilds that grow wild now. Loose leaf is best, but I found that it was never the same as the tea I got from the old mountains of China.
The people in china were picking them in spring only. That is the Harvest time. After the juvinlle stage the leaf will lose power.
But I’m sure its still good…
