I was looking into doing qigong but cant find a good teacher. I heard a lot about it and how it can gather energy into the organs and make you live an even healthier life. let me know what you guys think?

any websites that explain qigong or teach postures and techniques?

If it is from a good lineage and a teacher that knows, then you are in good hands. only way to tell is go to a class and see yourself because you will know if the teacher holds integrity in his teachings and how he/she handles himself in teaching, or maybe just go and don’t judge and take from it what you can and dump the rest. That’s how I got started and I am so glad I did this, as so many people are perfectionists and they never start because they are waiting for the right teaching to show up.

Yeah, find a teacher and get started! As henry said, train with the teachers you see fit out of all the available ones and see how you get along.

Keep practising and eventually you will find yourself stumble on to greater and greater teachers until you find that true master who you can stick around with =D At least…thats how I see it.

    Yes I do practise.

For me the benefits have been subtle but life-changing which is a strange combo I must say.
    – My mental discipline has improved which is given me a completely different foundation in approaching my life. Now I tend to do more things I want to do, than my body or emotions want to do.
    – I am happier for longer periods of the day. No matter how tough things get, I know after I do chigong I will be fine. It brings you back to reality as you get too caught up in life.
    – It feels awesome

Suffice to say there are physical benefits for me too such as fitness, deeper sleep, prevention of ailments but I note the most significant and important ones to me first.

experiencing doing it regularly will show you even more, rather than searching for its benefits.

buts what is essential for improving organ health. its basically weight training for the organs, instead of muscles.
