process of acupuncture

WHat is the process of acupuncture? How does the doctor actually see you? I mean the daoist acupuncture method, not the ones on the high streets that ive seen, as I know about them

How do the high street ones do it? I didnt know there was a difference.
The one I went to just checked my pulse for a minute and then prescribed some herbs.

Daoist ones usually check only the pulse, whereas the high street uk ones check your face, tongue and ask questions about medical history.

I personally use only pulse diagnosis system; sometimes i talk to the patient, but the Daoist pulse system is so detailed and complex, it can cover a lot of things.

But beginners in pulse should still ask everything, and do all diagnosis they know.
