Quickest route to obtain an western MD?! (So patients can listen better maybe?)

I’m a daoist and one daoist belief is to go with the flow like bruce lee always said “be water”. Instead of trying to tell people western MD is bad you could become one with the MD system. Building upon their system. As its not really bad..Its really not….

Right now my very close aunt has cancer AND copd. No doubt the copd and lack of oxygen made the cancer.But she won’t take a single word of advice. Its like she’s crazy. The doctors that are radiating her FORBID her to take any herbs or medicine. Making this situation VERY difficult.

This is a really trying situation as I can give you medical treatment that can stop side-effects of chemo and radiation and cure the caner Combing both east and ‘west’ medicine.

MD’s are allowed to do acupuncture and administer alternative medicine also.Basically can do whatever they want.

I think they honestly just toddlers in medicine. To put it nicely. Non-judgment of good and bad is a core principle of daoism that I incorporate into my life.

I think I would really sock it too the system as I no one would be able to denie any treatment. I also suspect a ‘crackdown’ coming on the system like in Europe. Vitamins and herbs our now all being only available via prescription there. I feel this move would make it easier for smoother treatment of my patients.

I know exculisoir collage online you can receive a doctorate in nursing.Or maybe I should move to canada where the medical treatments are different.

Honestly, my aunt thinks I’m out of my mind or retarded…..She has very bad arthritis too.

Also, all western MD drugs are just lab synthetic versions of traditional herb medience.

Asprin being derived from willow bark for instance. And synthetic cannabis derived pills for hunger.

Yeah @erickim , I agree with most of what you are saying, if not all. Western medicine’s driving force has not really been human well-being but profit. Even the systems that work eventually fail because of this reason. The other big limitation is the denial of anything beyond physical in treating disease which is why we have acupuncutre i guess lol

But honestly, if I compare myself now to any healthcare professional, then at this moment I know nothing. There is no doubt A&E saves a lot of lives as do physicians, many with very good intentions. This system is better than no system, but like you imply we shouldn’t settle for it.

As for your aunt, I think almost all of us here have been in a situation where our loved ones think we are crazy 😛 The best bet is to help healing in any way you can if that is what you really want. I think simply being there or giving that emotional support may be more useful to them at that time rather than trying to remove the cancer. Or you take baby steps i.e the amount of ‘craziness’ she is willing to accept and work from there.

Yeah its hard to convince family when they are sick and don’t know what to do. Best thing is give them emotional support if they aren’t willing and do your best. But don’t make it worse for them as that’s not a good thing either.

unfortunately, I don’t think there’s a quick way to obtain a ‘western MD’. Western doctors think there’s a quick way to eastern medicine with their ‘short courses’ in acupuncture but that obviously means nothing really, so its probably reversely true as well.

In any case, I’m very sorry to hear about your aunt and hope she returns to good health soon!

Yeah, I doubt there is a fast route to get the qualification itself, otherwise people would be going for that purely for the money. If you want the ‘Dr’ title however, why not just do a phd in something lol

Yeah you definitely have to put in a good 3-5 years for at least studying medicine, which is also helpful if you are going to do acupuncture and explain it to your patients as you need to know the symptoms of diseases.

Haha i thought of this too, but there is no fast route, its best to put your head down and study as hard as you can, and maybe do a shorter course, like instead of 5 years some can let you do it in 3 years if you study very hard and do extra modules.
