Can anyone tell me what the views are for smoking cannabis for pain relief and what is the eastern medical view by acupuncture practitioners, versus taking pain killers over the counter?

It can help with reducing inflammation, so it is useable and will greatly help. It’s only abuse of things that make them bad for you, and even sugar is a common substance that is abused too much today.

if normal paracetamols don’t work, then take the cannabis, but then again, if it is not allowed in your country/state then move to a state where it is allowed.

It helps a lot with pain and all inflammation. Just like other similar drugs. Many cancer patients use it to stop pain, and have seen interviews of them saying their lives improved many times over because they had cannabis; and these are people who never smoked before their condition.

just about being reasonable about it and not going overboard.

Where it’s legal, it is recommended to use for pain relief and inflammation relief. One of the very few things that actually work without side effects.
