Sterilisation effects on health?

Hi guys,

So in theatre today I saw 3 patients getting female sterilisation (where they clip the fallopian tubes with a metal clip to prevent the egg getting to the womb). This got me thinking about sterilisation and the effects it might have on the body, from an eastern perspective.

So for example, does being sterilised have any adverse energetic impact besides not being able to conceive? and similarly for the male vasectomy?

finally, for people wanting contraception, short or long term, is there any alternatives in eastern medicine that anyone is aware of?

do you know what type of metal the clip contains? The only worrying thing is metal inside the body – i know they might have a coating, but this has a sedating effect on the energy in any case, and is not ideal.

for males the vasectomy, its a simpler process, and from what I can see, still would affect the energy, but i don’t know exactly how. As Daoists, who want to go with the flow of nature, this is not ideal anyway, and one should learn self control rather than go this far to alter the body.

even shaving your beard or cutting hair changes the bodys energy, so i am sure you can imagine internal changes like this can affect energy too.

I’m not sure which metal.. its just some inert metal from what I’m told so from a physical point of view it shouldnt be reacting with anything.. But obviously it makes sense that it would have some impact energetically regardless.
